Description:This course provides the students with essentials that a manager needs to appreciate in order to launch e-business strategic initiatives and to manage e-business. Understanding of the skills, business concepts, strategic opportunities, and social issues that surround the emergence of e-Commerce and e-Business will also be provided. Essential concepts such as different forms of e-Commerce, e-Business models and frameworks, supply chain management, global e-Commerce, social networks will be discussed.
This course is a management course and not a technical one. Its main aim is to introduce to the students the organizational, managerial, technological and theoretical aspects of e-Business and to exhibit how these components can be combined together to enhance the competitiveness of an organization.
Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the teaching of course will be switched to blended mode. For the distance learning mode, lectures, assignments, teaching and learning activities and assessments are based on distance learning (e-learning). The course materials will be shared on the Moodle, and lectures, learning activities and students' discussions are conducted via Zoom Platform. However, for the in class teaching mode; learning activities, presentations and discussions are conducted within the LIMU campus. During the in class lectures, the LIMU Administration will take the necessary measures to keep social distancing and will follow strict regulations to ensure the safety of students and staff.
