Course Description.
This course is designed to serve as an introduction to the basic principles of marketing, practices, and the application of these practices. Students will learn how marketers deliver value in satisfying customer needs and wants, determine which target markets the organization can best serve, and decide upon appropriate products, services, and programs to serve these markets. Topics include Introduction to Marketing, Marketing Environment, Consumer buying behavior, Market segmentation, also students will learn about the product classification and product line, Branding, Packaging, Labeling and Barcoding, pricing strategies, promotion and distribution channels.
This course uses some learning approaches that put the student in the center of the learning process such as problem-based learning (PBL), Team-based Learning (TBL), and case-study learning approach. The focus of this course is on common basic topics that help students to have good knowledge and skills about Marketing.
This course will be taught by case analysis, interactive exercises, and assignments. presentation and assessments.
