The last decade has been one of the rapid, profound, and ongoing changes in the investment industry. The main objective of the course is to give students an introductory understanding of Capital Markets and Financial Instruments. The course will cover the theoretical and practical applications of investments.  Within this context, students will review various approaches to the use and valuation of stocks, bonds. Students are expected to learn both the theoretical constructs of investments and their application to current industry practice. Topics covered will include: Short-term investments, long-term investments, investment banking, security trading, international investing, mutual funds, assets Classes, and Financial Instrument in Securities Markets, Mutual Funds, and Other Investment Companies. The intent of the course is to provide students with a basic understanding of different investment alternatives and how to value those investments.
